A program designed so clinicians can do the work well.
We are building this program from the ground up with the people who will run it. Here is what that looks like day to day.
Small caseloads and real supervision
BCBAs carry 6–8 clients. Technicians work with 1–2 children, so you actually know them. Supervision happens every week, and AHT requests 20% supervision hours from payers, at the top of the 5–20% range, so BCBAs have time to be in the room.
Concentrated schedule blocks
Sessions run in focused blocks (8–12, 12:30–4:30, 4:30–7:30, and Saturdays 10–2) instead of a 40-hour week per child. That means predictable hours, a built-in midday break, and fewer split shifts.
Multidisciplinary by design
AHT was founded by a speech-language pathologist. ABA sits alongside speech, OT and school staffing, and BCBAs collaborate with SLPs and OTs on shared clients. You will not be working in a silo.
Training provided, from day one
CPR/First Aid, CPI, HIPAA, mandated reporter and Washtenaw CMH trainings are arranged by AHT before you see a client. Technicians get 40 hours of ABA training plus monthly sessions. BCBAs get company laptops; technicians get iPads for data collection.
A team you will actually see
Monthly all-team meetings, weekly BCBA check-ins with the Clinical Director, and quarterly team social events. The team is culturally responsive and multilingual, with Arabic, Urdu and Spanish spoken in the clinic.
Room to grow with the program
ABA launches in Washtenaw County first, then Wayne County. Additional BCBAs are hired as enrollment grows, and technicians are hired about two weeks before their client starts so training is finished before day one.
Three roles, one Ann Arbor team.
All positions are in-clinic at 2900 Golfside Rd, Suite 6. Compensation is competitive for the Ann Arbor market; details are discussed in the interview.
Clinical Director, ABA
Launch and lead AHT's ABA program. You will build the clinical model, hire and train the first technicians, supervise BCBAs, and report directly to owner and founder Ahlam Issa. In the early phase you will also work with our admin team on in-house billing so the program is set up correctly from the start.
What you'll do
- Design and launch the ABA program model: intake, assessment, treatment planning, scheduling and supervision standards.
- Hire, train and onboard Behavior Technicians and RBTs ahead of each client start.
- Meet weekly with every BCBA; oversee caseloads, treatment quality and ethics.
- Report directly to the owner on program growth, staffing and clinical outcomes.
- Support in-house billing with the admin team during the launch phase.
- Coordinate with speech, OT and school staffing leads so clients get integrated care.
- Lead the expansion from Washtenaw County to Wayne County as enrollment grows.
What you bring
- BCBA or BCBA-D certification in good standing, with Michigan licensure eligibility.
- Leadership experience: supervising BCBAs and technicians, building or scaling a program, or directing a clinic.
- Comfort with child-led, assent-based practice and both NET and DTT.
- Working knowledge of Medicaid, CMH and commercial-payer authorization and documentation.
- A collaborative style; you will work closely with SLPs, OTs and families.
- Bilingual ability (Arabic, Urdu or Spanish) is a plus, not a requirement.

Own a caseload of 6–8 children ages 2–10. You will assess, write the treatment plan, supervise your technicians every week, and coach caregivers, with speech and OT colleagues in the same building. You report to the Clinical Director and meet with them weekly.
What you'll do
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments using the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R and AFLS.
- Write individualized treatment plans, behavior intervention plans and transition plans, and submit them for authorization.
- Supervise Behavior Technicians and RBTs weekly, in session, with 5–20% supervision hours (AHT requests 20%).
- Provide caregiver training and meet with families at least monthly to review data and adjust goals.
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists on shared clients.
- Keep data and notes current in our data collection software on a company laptop.
- Reassess before each reauthorization and guide decisions to continue, reduce or transition.
What you bring
- Current BCBA certification and Michigan licensure (or eligibility).
- Experience with early-childhood and school-age ABA, including NET and DTT.
- A child-led, assent-based approach and respect for a child's "no."
- Clear, timely clinical writing that holds up to payer review.
- Commitment to maintaining 32 CEUs every two years (AHT supports this).
- Bilingual ability (Arabic, Urdu or Spanish) is a plus, not a requirement.

Work 1:1 with one or two children, every session, under a BCBA who supervises you weekly. This is the role where progress actually happens. No prior ABA experience is required: AHT provides the 40-hour training and supports you toward the RBT credential.
What you'll do
- Provide 1:1 direct ABA treatment in morning, afternoon, after-school or Saturday blocks.
- Run programs from the treatment plan using Natural Environment Teaching and Discrete Trial Teaching.
- Collect data and write session notes on a company iPad, every session.
- Meet with your supervising BCBA weekly for observation, feedback and coaching.
- Complete AHT's initial 40-hour ABA training, then monthly ongoing training.
- Support children during transitions to speech or OT in the same clinic.
What you bring
- High school diploma or higher.
- RBT credential preferred; if you don't have it yet, we train you and support the process.
- Patience, playfulness and a genuine interest in working with young children with autism.
- Reliability: families count on seeing the same face each day.
- Willingness to complete CPR/First Aid, CPI, HIPAA, mandated reporter and CMH trainings (arranged and provided by AHT).
- RBTs maintain 12 PDUs every two years; we help you stay on track.

Every clinical hire completes the same core trainings before their first session. AHT arranges and provides them. Ongoing requirements are built into the schedule, not left to evenings.

Ahlam Issa started Anwar House of Therapy as a speech clinic in Ann Arbor and grew it into a multidisciplinary practice with a second location in Dearborn. ABA is the next chapter, and it is being built the same way: by listening to the people doing the work.
The Clinical Director reports directly to Ahlam. BCBAs meet with the Clinical Director every week. Technicians are never left without supervision. That structure is deliberate: it keeps the program ethical, keeps caseloads honest, and keeps every clinician connected to someone who can help.
